Shriver`s Salt Water in Ocean City

What fun! I realize taffy/candy stores are a staple at every boardwalk in America, but Shriver's is head and shoulders above anything I've ever encounter. Just walking in is a fun experience. It's a great mix of the old counters/displays and modern - well lit and clean. I especially liked the back wall - all glass with a view of the candy making operation.The taffy is incredible. Great variety of flavors. You can buy specialty flavors or assortments already packaged in a variety of sizes. Or you can create your own assortment from dozens of flavors in bins. The fudge is truly amazing. Great flavors, creamy texture - vs the typical grittiness of most tourist destination offerings. Now that I'm home, I truly regret only buying 4 bars. IMO this is a must-stop if you're in Ocean City. I live in NYC, so dropping in here is a challenge. BUT . . . they ship! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is sparkling clean and well organized. Really nice!

Absolutely the best fudge I have ever had ! Soft smooth creamy and delicious . Go there every summer . I refuse to eat anything else !

I am currently taking a staycation. What great service from Shrivers. It is very warm outside this week but not hot so I got two pounds of my favorite taffies. I haven’t had this candy for ages. I have it now and it shipped just fine. Great care was taken to get it here in SE PA. It was practically overnighted. Such fun. Thank you 🌞 😎🌊

Shriver's has been a staple of Ocean City for years. Not what it was 30 years ago. They used to have a lot more homemade candy. The fudge is amazing best in Ocean City. Their lollipops are sticky on the outside of the wrapper. Made the mistake of touching one. Prices are a little high!

Huge candy store! Tons of selection from their famous salt water taffy and fudge to different selections of chocolate and candy! If you don't want to select from prepackaged boxes and bags, you can mix and match your own bag full of all your favorite treats. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly.

Love the historical character but this place is insanely expensive! I should've known better being in a touristy spot but we purchased what seemed like a small amount of candy and it cost almost $50. Still worth visiting. The retro taffy machines in the back of the store are so cool!

Have heard of Shrivers from a few people, have never visited myself.....but I did just order a custom mix 5lbs salt water taffy. Came in 2 separate boxes, love the way it's wrapped and packaging and the softness of it! I would say that the falvorings are not very strong or accurate? It's not balanced well.....taste like pure solidified sugar water with a hint of flavor....the lime was great though! I'm sure if there the nostalgia adds to the fun! I wouldn't order again. I just ordered 2.5 lbs from Taffy Town to see the difference!

Sticky candy wrappers. Busy. Excellent fudge. Not what it was 30 years ago. Less candy that is homemade and lots of factory made junky candy your kids will throw a fit over. Pricey.

I ordered a variety of fudge for my mother’s 87 birthday and Shriver’s fudge has always been her favorite. I must say I am extremely impressed. The fudge came in one day and she literally cannot stop eating it. She texts me repeatedly to tell me how each flavor is better than the last. Thank you , Shriver’s!!!

HUGE flavor selection! It's a "must stop" every time we hit the shore. Staff were all wearing masks, clients were not.

Their fudge is good, light and creamy. It is not as chocolaty as Steel's Fudge though.

Me and my family absolutely love Shriver's and it's great to see how strictly they are following health and safety guidelines in these uncertain times. Just recently I ordered some taffy from the take-out window and was impressed to see staff wearing masks and gloves. After I completed my purchase, the lady at the counter actually discarded her gloves and put on a new pair! That's what I call professionalism! Well done and see you again soon!

An OC staple for us. Addicted to the dark chocolate covered macaroons. Yum! Many unique and childhood favorite candies.

I've been coming to Shriver's almost every summer since I was a child. It is absolutely my favorite candy store.I love that you can get so many different varieties of candy, especially candy that was popular when I was younger. They have a great selection, and of course their taffy and fudge are wonderful.If you're in luck, you can even see them making the taffy fresh on their machinery in the back, and don't leave before you get a free sample!If you find yourself anywhere near Ocean City, even if you're just passing by, you owe it to yourself to visit Shriver's. You won't be disappointed!

Such a wide selection of sweets and many unique Shriver's gifts options! Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a store that you absolutely MUST stop in during your time in OCNJ!
